H&M is finally going to make clothes sizes bigger
In today’s small sartorial victory, H&M has decided to make its female clothes sizes bigger. If you’ve ever shopped at H&M before, you’ll know it’s a bit of a challenge finding the right size, and buying something without visiting the changing rooms is sheer madness.
Because you see H&M sizing labels are not really in line with UK sizing charts, which means where you would normally be a size 10, you are more likely to fit into a size 12.
A spokesperson for the high street chain said, ‘Following customer feedback, we are taking the steps to change our womenswear measurements to be in line with UK sizing.’
This comes after shopper Rebecca Parker’s open letter complaining about buying size 14 jeans when she is a size 12 went viral.
Shoppers have taken to Twitter to celebrate, calling it ‘excellent news’ and commending it as a boost to their confidence.
The good news is that the new sizing is already being deployed, meaning you can shop your fave clothes without queuing for the changing room. Excellent news indeed.
