Pierre Balmain Spring/Summer 2014 RTW – New York Fashion Week
The opening of the second show-day ofNew York Fashion Weekwas guided by thePierre Balmain spring/summer 2014 collection. This presentation was something quite different from the traditional type or at least from all the presentations that had been seen before it. The collection of the youthful Parisian brand was shown via 21st century technologies. ThePierre Balmainmodels appeared on a digital wall accompanied with loud music. The presenting characters were just two, both of them pretty different from today’s real life. They seemed to be from the times when New York was overwhelmed with punk-rocky youngsters.
Yes, it is not news that thePierre Balmain spring/summer 2014 collectionmodels are rather for young people living on their own, trying to escape from the reality of family chores, tired of their own aggression and preferring the free street-fashion. ThePierre Balmain spring 2014 collectionincludes casual loose sweatshirts worn with torn fishnet stockings, hyper-tight dresses with cutout parts for women, and worn-like sweaters with tight jeans or sometimes even combined with serious classic suits and shirts for men. Punk rocky style is mostly seen in leather jackets and tough boots.
The culmination of the contrast of thePierre Balmain spring/summer 2014 collectionwas the white lace dress among all the ‘don’t-know-how-to-wear’ stuff. The entire character of the model was interesting and breathtaking: the beautiful tiny dress combined with black stockings on a girl hardly keeping the onslaught on her slim unattractive body.
ThePierre Balmain spring/summer 2014 collectionis definitely not from the traditional ones not only because of its exclusively punk rocky style but also for its tiny sizes that seem to be designed for only slim youngsters. However, irrespective of all these details, the collection was interesting, eye-catching and seemed to be created for the future generation.
